Protesters in Iran have reportedly taken control of the cities of Abdanan and Malekshahi as anti-government demonstrations spread to at least 92 cities across 27 provinces, Fox News reported on Wednesday.

As the unrest enters its tenth consecutive day, demonstrators have directly appealed to U.S. President Donald Trump for support.

In a symbolic move, protesters in Tehran reportedly renamed a street in honor of the U.S. leader. Iranian state media confirmed that over 2,000 people have been arrested, with the death toll rising to at least 36, including two security officers.

Reports indicate nearly 285 flashpoints of protest nationwide, amid escalating violence from law enforcement and security forces.
