U.S. says it will remain part of NATO

 U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the United States intends to remain a member of NATO, dismissing speculation about a possible withdrawal from the alliance.

“We are absolutely going to remain part of NATO,” Bessent told NBC News in an interview.

Asked whether Washington would prioritise Greenland over the alliance, Bessent said it was a false choice, adding that European leaders would recognise the need to remain under the U.S. security umbrella.
