Trump: 'There is no going back' on Greenland acquisition plans
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday he had a "very good" telephone call with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte regarding the strategic importance of Greenland. Trump confirmed that various parties have agreed to meet at the World Economic Forum in Davos to discuss the matter.
"Greenland is imperative for National and World Security. There can be no going back — On that, everyone agrees!" Trump posted on Truth Social. The President reiterated his "peace through strength" doctrine, asserting that the United States is the only power capable of ensuring global stability. The statement comes amid escalating tensions with Denmark, which has repeatedly stated that the autonomous territory is not for sale.
