Israeli Woman Detained in Turkey Over Allegations of Insulting National Flag
An Israeli citizen has been held in Turkish custody for over 10 days on allegations of insulting the Turkish flag, the President of Turkey, and Palestine, according to reports from Ynet.
The woman was detained at Istanbul’s Taksim Square and remains in a local police station. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed they are aware of the case and stated that Israeli diplomats are currently coordinating with Turkish authorities to resolve the situation and facilitate her return home. Her family has been notified as legal proceedings continue.
