U.S. Treasury chief says Washington ready to cut off Iran’s financial flows

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Washington is monitoring Iran’s financial flows and is prepared to block them if necessary.

“We are tracking the Iranian leadership and the money they send around the world, and if instructed, we will go after it,” he said.

Bessent added that the United States continues to pursue a policy of maximum pressure on Tehran.
