Heavy snowfall disrupts electricity and communications in regions

Heavy snowfall has caused significant damage in Azerbaijan’s Jalilabad and Bilasuvar districts.

Dozens of trees collapsed under the weight of the snow. Power lines and internet communication lines were damaged in several areas.

Emergency and utility services are currently working to eliminate the последствия of the storm and restore electricity and communications. Although the snowfall has stopped, freezing weather conditions persist in the region.

Snow cover exceeded 40 centimetres in the districts and reached 60 centimetres in mountainous areas.
