Yellow and orange wind warnings issued in Azerbaijan

Yellow and orange weather warnings have been issued for Baku, the Absheron Peninsula and several regions of Azerbaijan due to strong winds expected on Feb. 14–16, the National Hydrometeorology Service of Azerbaijan said.

Under the orange alert, north-westerly winds with speeds of 20.8–28.4 metres per second are forecast in Kalbajar, Goranboy, Dashkasan, Naftalan, Barda, Gusar, Gobustan, Khizi and Mingachevir.

In Baku, on the Absheron Peninsula and in other parts of the country, a yellow alert has been issued, with north-westerly winds expected to reach 13.9–20.7 metres per second.
