Fuat Oktay comments on ‘Trump Route’
Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and former Vice President of Turkey Fuat Oktay said that agreement has been reached on the Zangezur corridor and the “Trump Route” (TRIPP – Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity), and that a normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan has begun.
According to him, Armenia’s purchase of petroleum products from Azerbaijan inevitably contributes to the start of normalization between Turkey and Armenia.
“Armenia is purchasing petroleum products from Azerbaijan, and this inevitably leads to the beginning of a normalization process between Turkey and Armenia,” Oktay stated.
It should be noted that Fuat Oktay has arrived in Azerbaijan on a visit. In a post on his X account, he said he is in Baku to participate in the 10th trilateral meeting of the foreign affairs committees of the parliaments of Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia, as well as to hold official talks.
He also noted that within the framework of the visit, they attended an iftar organized by the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan and held discussions prior to the start of the official meetings.
