Iran appreciates Azerbaijan’s solidarity messages following Supreme Leader’s death

Solidarity messages sent from Azerbaijan during difficult times are highly valued by the Iranian people, Iran’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Demirchilu, said at a press conference at the embassy.

The ambassador highlighted that mutual support reflects the historical and cultural ties between the two countries. He noted that President Ilham Aliyev extended condolences to Iran’s president on the death of the Supreme Leader, and Tehran appreciates Azerbaijan’s gestures of support.

In addition, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a phone conversation to discuss regional developments.
