Azerbaijan increases investment in Georgia
Last year, Azerbaijan invested $143.9 million in Georgia’s economy, says the preliminary report for 2025 released by Georgia’s National Statistics Office.
According to the preliminary report for 2025 released by Georgia’s National Statistics Office, the volume of investments increased by 71.5% year-on-year.
In the reporting year, Azerbaijan accounted for 8.5% of foreign investments in Georgia. With this figure, Azerbaijan ranked fifth among the main investor countries in Georgia. The top four included the United Kingdom ($334.2 million), Türkiye ($180.8 million), Malta ($173.7 million), and the United States ($158.1 million).
Last year, the total volume of foreign direct investment in Georgia amounted to $1.68 billion, which is 7.6% higher year-on-year. The sectors that received the most investment included finance and insurance, real estate, transportation, manufacturing, information and communications, energy, construction, water supply and waste management, trade, and entertainment and recreation.
