Iran warns of new navigation rules for Strait of Hormuz after war
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran would not allow adversaries to use a waterway along its borders and would seek new navigation rules for the Strait of Hormuz after the war ends.
He stressed that Iran does not believe in a temporary ceasefire but seeks a definitive end to fighting across all fronts, from Lebanon to Yemen.
“After the war, we must develop new regulations governing the Strait of Hormuz and the passage of vessels through it,” Araghchi said.
Addressing the domestic political situation and reports of attacks targeting senior officials, Araghchi said Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is in good health and continues to monitor developments.
“The Supreme Leader has only sustained minor injuries. When and how he speaks to the nation depends on his decision. But according to my information, he is fully healthy,” he added.
