More than 6,200 people affected by floods in Russia’s Dagestan
More than 6,200 people have been affected by floods in Dagestan, said the head of the republic, Sergey Melikov.
According to him, more than 6,200 people have been affected by floods and natural disasters in total, and approximately the same number of houses, private land plots, and commercial properties have been damaged.
Melikov said that the most affected areas are Makhachkala, Kaspiysk, Khasavyurt, and the Derbent districts.
He added that the situation in Dagestan is currently stabilizing, 55 temporary accommodation centers have been established, and more than 700 people have been placed there.
