Iran says U.S. must choose between ceasefire or war via Israel

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said the United States must choose between a full ceasefire and continuing the war through Israel, in a post on X late on Tuesday.

“The conditions for a ceasefire between Iran and the United States are clear and unambiguous: Washington must choose — ceasefire or continuation of war via Israel,” Araqchi wrote.

He said the United States could not pursue both options simultaneously and referred to a recent strike in Lebanon that left hundreds dead or wounded.

“The world is witnessing mass killings in Lebanon. The ball is in the United States’ court, and the world is watching whether it will meet its obligations,” he added.
