Azerbaijani film displayed at Cannes Festival for first time

Yesterday at 14:00 (Baku time), an artistic film titled “The Last One” (“Sonuncu"), which is included in the Short Film Palme d`Or of the 67th Cannes International Film Festival, has been displayed for the first time.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism told APA that five films of the “Short Film Palme d`Or”, which includes 9 films, was today displayed. At last the Azerbaijani film was presented to the viewers as the 5th one.The Ministry said the film “The Last one” compared to other films earned the most applauses from the viewers. After demonstration, the editors have been invited to the scene, the Juries, including World-famed Iranian producer Abbas Kiarostami, have been presented to the viewers.“The Last one” will be presented again at 19.30 (Baku time) at the Debussy theatre. Results of the competition will be announced at the closing ceremony of the festival on May 24.The film cast includes scriptwriter Alexander Krasavin and Sergei Pikalov, camera director Denis Madyshev, art director Aziz Mammadov, and producers Maria Ivanova, Nasib Piriyev, Mushvig Hatamov.(News.Az)Bakudaily.az
