West Hollywood Hosts "Nazım & Friends" Art Exhibition Featuring Azerbaijani Artists

Long Hall at Plummer Park in West Hollywood has launched "Nazım & Friends," a multi-genre collaborative art exhibition spotlighting six artists representing diverse artistic disciplines, generations, and visual cultures.

Presented in collaboration with the City of West Hollywood, the Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles, and the Russian Advisory Board/Naum Reznik Public Library, the project centers around Baku-born artist Nazim Hajiyev, whose four-decade career spans fine art and cinematic production design.

The showcase also features works by Arzu Khalilova, member of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan; Fidan Kim, known for merging Orientalist motifs, miniature art, and surrealism; Baku-born, Los Angeles-based photographer Alec Wolvec (Oleg Volovik); alongside artists Anna Milshtein and Edward Goff.

Rather than imposing a uniform stylistic aesthetic, the exhibition juxtaposes painting, graphics, and photography into a cohesive visual mosaic spanning Azerbaijani, European, and American diasporic experiences. The exhibition remains open to the public through October 12, 2026.
