Azeri, Iranian parliament speakers discuss ties

Azerbaijan is interested in expanding cooperation with Iran, Parliament Speaker Oqtay Asadov told his Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani in Tehran on February 18.

Asadov and Larijani had an exchange of views on bilateral relations, as well as regional and global issues, according to the Iranian news agency ISNA.

Asadov said mutual visits were important for the expansion of ties. 

The Azeri speaker visited the Iranian capital to join a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
