Aliona Savchenko took to the ice for the Pairs Short Programme wearing an eye-popping, skin-tight pink body suit, performing - appropriately enough - to the tune of the 'Pink Panther' alongside partner Robin Szolkowy.The duo are more than just for show - they are four-times world champions, and in medal contention as they sit in second place at the moment.But while Russia's Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov are out in front in the competition itself, the German duo grabbed all the attention."For figure skating, you need something new. You need to show what you have," Savchenko said."Our routine and costume is funny. For me it is more fun. I feel really good in this outfit and this program. We need to do something different."Her partner echoed those comments."It is really good for our sport, for figure skating, to bring some colour and some new ideas," Szolkowy said."The only two colors in this competition are yellow from the Italian team and the pink from Aliona.
