Dorset B&B voted best in the world in Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice Awards

Bindon Bottom B&B was one of 14 other British B&Bs that made it into the World's Top 25 B&Bs, with the All Seasons Guest House in Filey, North Yorkshire taking second place, one of three North Yorkshire properties in the top 10. Bindon Bottom, just behind Bindon Hill (hence the name) was renovated by owners Clive and Lisa Orchard in 2010, and looks out across fields to Hambury Tout – a pudding-basin Purbeck hill which takes you up and over to the rock arch of Durdle Door, one of Dorset's natural wondersIn total Tripadvisor announced winners in seven hospitality categories including World's Top 10 Bargain Hotels, which saw Castlewood House, Dingle, County Kerry, Ireland take first place, pipping Palm Spring's Desert Riviera Hotel in California to the post. Devon was revealed as the UK's biggest winning county after Greater London, with 11 hotels making it into five of the seven categories. The award for the top hotel in the UK went to the five-star Milestone Hotel in Kensington, London.In the UK categories, London scooped the most awards, but outside the capital it was smaller seaside towns that did well, with Torquay, St Ives and Blackpool all landing more awards than the other big towns and cities.However, in the world rankings, while British B&Bs won over guests with their idiosyncractic charm, not a single UK hotel made it into the top-10 list.
