Azerbaijan continues evacuations from Iran and Israel – foreign ministry

Azerbaijan’s embassies in Iran and Israel, along with its consulate in Tabriz, are processing daily requests from citizens amid the ongoing conflict between the two countries, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Aykhan Hajizadeh said.on Tuesday.

Efforts are underway to obtain permits for Azerbaijani nationals and citizens of other countries seeking to leave Iran via land borders.

So far, around 500 Azerbaijani citizens have contacted the embassy and consulate in Iran, with over 60 having already crossed the border.

Additionally, more than 1,200 requests from citizens of 51 countries are currently under review.
In Israel, 34 Azerbaijani citizens have been facilitated to cross into Jordan, he said.
