Chess included in Baku European Olympics 2015

Chess has been included in the 2015 European Olympic Games to be held in Baku, the Azerbaijani capital, Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov told journalists on Jan. 14.

The European Commission made a special decision to include chess and karate on the list of European Olympic games, the minister said."Of course, all reforms carried out in Azerbaijan in the field of chess will continue at an even higher level. Azerbaijan will be represented in upcoming games by a strong team of chess players," Rahimov said, according to Trend news agency.ANN.Az
