State Budget Received 4.9 million AZN Plundered by Officials

The State Service for Financial Supervision of the Ministry of Finance of AR over the past year provided compensation to the state budget of 4 million 910.3 thousand manat.
The Ministry reports that 14 regional executive bodies have been audited (including companies and organizations on their balance sheets), including 14 companies in the field of education, 7 medical institutions, 1 culture enterprise, 2 reclamation plants, 2 missions abroad, and 5 local financial bodies of the Ministry of Finance.
Reports on the violations identified during inspections in the field of education and associated with unreasonable costs exceeding 107.9 thousand manat were submitted to the General Prosecutor's Office. In this case, on the basis of tests in the education system 702.5 full-time units created above the norm were canceled for eating away the budget.
In relation to 914 officers guilty of financial irregularities, administrative measures have been taken - they were fined a total of 516.6 thousand manat and the funds have been transferred to the state budget. Following the checks three officials were removed from office, eight were reprimanded, and three were warned.
"On the basis of decisions and letters received from the Prosecutor General's Office and the judiciary, members of the Service during inspections revealed unreasonable expenditure of 6 million 27.2 thousand manat and the reports on the identified violations were sent to the Prosecutor General," the press release said.
