Head of Azerbaijan’s largest lender resigns
Cahangir Haciyev, head of the Supervisory Board of the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA), has resigned for "health reasons”, the bank said in a statement.
Haciyev, 54, tendered his resignation at a board meeting on March 18
Emil Mustafayev, first deputy head of the board, was appointed acting chairman.
Haciyev had held the job since 2001.
IBA, the largest lender in Azerbaijan, is controlled by the state.
