Malta signs MoU with Azerbaijan on gas links

Malta's Prime Minister Joseph Muscat has said the country signed a memorandum of understanding with Azerbaijan.

"This fits like a glove with our plans to develop a Mediterranean gas pipeline which links us with Sicily, and also with North Africa once things there settle down,” he said.

Muscat added that he wants a three-way agreement with Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan on gas.
