You won't believe how much fans are paying for the Apple Watch on eBay

Apple's tech timepiece will hit wrists next Friday with the device already available to pre-order from the US tech firm.

But with some styles unavailable for delivery until June, Apple fans are hitting eBay to make sure they get their hands on one.

With demand high for the new device, prices on the auction site are already going sky-high with many Apple addicts facing rip-off prices.

One eBayer is selling their £339 Apple Watch Sport and has already received bids of over £1,100.

And other Apple Watches are selling for hundreds of pounds more than their retail value.

The devices gaining the most interest come with the promise of delivery on April 24th – the day Apple officially launch the watch.

The Apple Watch is the Californian tech giant's first attempt at wearable technology.

Packed full of the latest technology it can monitor your fitness, make phone calls and bring messages to your wrist.

Smartwatches have so far failed to get gadget fans excited, but Apple's attempt already appears to be doing better than its rivals.

Reports suggest that some versions of the device have already sold out with the insane £8,000 Watch Edition in short supply in China.
