SOCAR pumps less oil, natural gas in 1Q y/y

Azerbaijan’s state energy company SOCAR produced less crude oil and natural gas in the first quarter of 2015 year on year.
SOCAR pumped 2.07 million tons of oil in the January-March period, down from 2.1 million tons a year earlier, the company said on its website.
Production of natural gas fell to 1.67 billion cubic meters from 2 billion cubic meters.
The company gave no reason for the decline.
Azerbaijan’s total crude production grew 1.8 percent in the first quarter to 10.5 million tons, according to the State Statistics Committee.
Production of marketable natural gas rose 11.2 percent to 5.2 billion cubic meters.
