Baku 2015: Teenager Geraldo inspires Portugal to Table Tennis gold

Portugal's men continued what is looking like a bright new dawn for Table Tennis in their country with a 3-1 win over France in the men's team final on Monday.
The 2014 European team champions were guided home by 19-year-old Joao Geraldo, the continent's no.48, who beat Adrien Mattenet 3-0 in the third singles match at Baku Sports Hall.
The 27-year-old Mattenet is ranked 32 places above Geraldo.
Tiago Apolonia beat Mattenet in straight games before 20-year-old Simon Gauzy, the French no.1, lost 3-2 to Marcos Freitas as Portugal went 2-0 up.
Gauzy and Emmanuel Lebesson then beat Geraldo and Apolonia 3-2 in the doubles, before the teenager finished off the French.
Earlier, gold medal favourites Germany lost the bronze medal match 3-0 to Austria.
