Samsung has plans to release its Galaxy S7 early 2016. 

The smartphone is expected to have a larger screen, up-to 128 GB of internal memory, plenty of storage space and 3D Touch capabilities, which is said to mimic the iPhone 6s's 3D Touch technology.

Apple's latest feature, 3D Touch, is a pressure-sensitive technology that will show different options depending on how the user touches the screen. 

Recently, a Chinese social media network, Weibo, leaked information revealing a partnership between Samsung and Synaptics that will add similar technology to the Galaxy s7.

Synaptics announced the development of its newest technology, ClearForce, earlier this month. 

The technology allows users to control what they see on the screen depending on how they press it. 

A press release stated that Synaptics is 'working closely' with manufactures to deliver forced-enabled smartphones that will be shipped early 2016. 

'This exciting next step in human interface for smartphones will soon become the norm and highlights Synaptics' leadership in force,' said Kevin Barber of Synaptics at the time. 

'Early adopters of ClearForce include industry leading OEMs and LCMs seeking advanced technology that drives an enhanced and more productive user experienced.'

Ironically this is within the same time frame Samsung plans to release the Galaxy s7.

But this isn't the first time the Android company has played follow the leader. 

When the Galaxy made its debut, consumers couldn't help but see it as Apple's cousin, in both hardware and software design. 

TheGalaxys7.com stated that Samsung will make an announcement about the Galaxy s7 in December 2015 and the smartphone is set to be release in January 2016. 

As of right now, Samsung mimicking the 3D Touch technology is still he said, she said.
