The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) exported 1.139 million
tonnes of oil-refined products and petrochemicals on world markets in 2016, SOCAR's press office told Interfax.
The company exported 728,374
tonnes of diesel fuel, 177,506
tonnes of jet fuel, 2,416
tonnes of fuel oil, 84,54
tonnes of
high pressure polyethylene, 9,931
tonnes of isopropyl alcohol, 69,946
tonnes of liquid pyrolysis resin, 43,837
tonnes of propylene, and 23,347
tonnes of butylene-butadiene fraction.
In December alone, the company exported 87,323
tonnes of oil products and petrochemicals, including 52,203
tonnes of diesel fuel, 3,471
tonnes of jet fuel, 7,813
tonnes of
high pressure polyethylene, 12,369
tonnes of liquid pyrolysis resin, 6,282
tonnes of propylene, 605
tonnes of isopropyl alcohol, 4,580
tonnes of butylene-butadiene fraction.
According to SOCAR, the average global market price was $532.08 per tonne for leaded gasoline ($471.35 per tonne in November), $493.1 for jet fuel ($440.42 in November), $467.91 for diesel fuel ($408.57), $306.56 for fuel oil with 1% sulfur content ($257.85), $1,190 for high pressure polyethylene ($1.213), $575.29 for butylene-butadiene fraction ($524.7), $532.08 for liquid pyrolysis resin ($471.35), 725 euros for propylene (755 euros) and 900 euros for isopropyl alcohol (918 euros).
In 2015 the company exported 1.226 million
tonnes of oil products.
Since January 1,
2015 Azerbaijan has one oil refinery, the Bakinsky oil refinery named after
Heyder Aliyev.
