The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) is negotiating to participate a project of constructing an oil refinery near the Russian city of Novorossiyk, ITAR-TASS cites Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Natiq Aliyev’s statement.
The minister said the Azerbaijani side is interested to participate in the project, adding that the negotiations are still continuing.
Note that, in May of this year Russia’s Rosneft Company and SOCAR signed an agreement on creating a joint venture for exploration and extraction of oil and gas fields.
