Threat level at all Turkish airports raised to orange one

The threat level at all airports in Türkiye has been raised to orange one on October 24 due to the risk of terror attacks at airports following the terror attack in Ankara, reported from the Hürriyet newspaper.

"Security measures in Türkiye have been strengthened after the terror attack in Ankara... The threat level has been raised to orange due to terrorist groups' plans to carry out attacks at airports," the newspaper reports.

Thorough checks are being conducted on vehicles entering airport territories, and security personnel are checking passenger documents.

Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen International Airport in the east of the city warned passengers on social media about additional security checks at the airport and urged them to arrive at least three hours before departure.
