Ukrainian military analyst: Had military aid been provided on time, Russia would not have been able to achieve any success

Ukrainian military experts have commented on the reasons for the recent failures and retreats in the war with Russia.

Although Ukraine has received enough packages of military aid from the US and its allies, it has not been able to achieve any serious success on the battlefield, military expert Dmytro Gromakov told the Eastern European bureau.

"The allocation of aid and the appearance of these vehicles on the battlefield is a long process. We lost important tactical positions due to the long-term doubts about the delivery of these weapons. The return of the lost positions requires additional efforts and necessary technical support. Therefore, it is not possible to achieve success as soon as possible with the help mentioned. We can only stabilize the situation on the frontlines with this military assistance. The availability of support systems will allow us to conduct or prepare for offensive operations. I hope that we will be able to get back the territories regardless of the political situation," he added.

Another military expert, Vladislav Voloshin, told Report that it is wrong to call the capture of several settlements destroyed by Russia a tactical success: "The reason for the failure is simply that the Ukrainian army could not get the necessary support from the allies, especially the US and the European Union (EU). Had such aid been provided in full on time, Russia would not have been able to achieve any success."

"I can say with certainty that if the necessary weapons are provided, we can return the lost positions in a short period of time and direct the course of the military campaign in a completely different direction. The Ukrainian army is ready to receive these weapons and restore its territories," Voloshin noted.
