Why Ronaldo back at United would be a match made in heaven

Why Ronaldo back at United would be a match made in heaven

A player that left so many good memories at Manchester United has now moved a step closer to returning, according to reports.

Over past few weeks the gossip columns have been rife with rumours that Cristiano Ronaldo was unhappy at Real Madrid and was 'dreaming' of a return to Old Trafford.

For many years United have lived off wingers  like Ryan Giggs, David Beckham and Andrei Kanchelskis. That swashbuckling wide-man that takes on players and scores goals is what the Old Trafford club have always adored.

Some however, fail to meet similar heights, the names of  Nani and Ashley Young spring too mind who were left to pick up the pieces after United legend, Ronaldo departed back in 2009.

Scoring 117 goals during his six years at the club, Ronaldo was one of the best players to ever wear the iconic number seven shirt.

His ability to stand out in big games and rise above the occasion made him one of the most loved but also one of the most feared.

He moved to Real Madrid in the summer of 2009 for a then record £80million and has taken the Spanish division by storm virtually eclipsing every record that has stood in his way.

Last year he scored 31 league goals in 30 appearances, but it's the way he scores that makes him special.
