Putin-backed warlord pledges Turkey will regret downing Russia jet

Putin-backed warlord pledges Turkey will regret downing Russia jet

Ramzan Kadyrov, head of Chechnya, blasted Ankara for treachery and promised he had thousands of fighters ready to fulfil the orders of Vladimir Putin.

It follows the shooting down of a Russian warplane by two Turkish F16 fighters amid claims the craft had crossed into their airspace illegally.

Posting on social media, the 39-year-old former rebel wrote: "I have no doubt that Turkey will regret it for a very long time.

"Those who speak about friendship and cooperation on every occasion do not act that treacherously.

"I consider it my duty to declare that I personally, the Chechen Republic, the entire Chechen people are ready to fulfil orders and orders of any complexity [given by Vladimir Putin].

"For this we have the will, determination, highly trained forces, and thousands of volunteers! We are always waiting for the order! You will make sure how true patriots of Russia perform it."

Bloodthirsty Kadyrov also warned that Russia "can not be beat" in the caption of a video on Instagram showing him mouthing off.

He has previously pleaded with Putin to let him and his storm troopers loose on ISIS, having had the experience of brutally crushing an Islamic rebellion at home.

In another video on his Instagram page, the infamous ruler wades into a river and drags out a crocodile with his bare hands.

The clash between Turkey and Russia has brought the world to the brink of war.

Because the former is part of NATO other member states would be compelled to come to the rescue in the event of an attack.

And yesterday's bust-up was made even worse when ethnically Turkish rebels in Syria murdered a pilot who escaped the doomed plane in a hale of bullets.

When a Russian rescue helicopter tried to help it was forced to land by rebel gunfire, before being blown up on camera, resulting in another death.

On top of that, America has been accused of building the anti-tank blaster used to destroy the chopper.

Turkey and Russia remain at odds over the position of the plane when it was hit, with Moscow denying the craft was over the border at the time.
