Cops foiling ISIS suicide bomber’s bid to commit mass murder

Cops foiling ISIS suicide bomber’s bid to commit mass murder

Dressed casually in a white shirt and jeans, the warped jihadi was on his way to blow himself to bits at the Imam Al-Kadhim shrine near the Iraq capital of Baghdad, which is popular with tourists.

He is pictured with thin sheets of explosives wrapped round his body using a plastic sheet.

A button is attached to wires connected to the detonator which he hoped would explode his body into bits while murdering as many men, women and children as possible.

To make sure those surviving are maimed forever, nails, screws, nuts, metal balls were packed in ready to turn into flesh ripping shrapnel once the bomb went off.

But thanks to the vilgiance of police officers his macabre mission was foiled.

The killer – who was had his hair and beard neatly trimmed for the occasion – was nabbed as he passed through the check point after cops became suspicious.

He turned out to be Hussain Ali, a member of ISIS, also known as Daesh.

The suicide vest is made from materials commonly available and rigged up to explosives.

This small victory against terrorism came as ISIS troops have been cowering in tunnels and bunkers as its positions in the Iraqi city of Fallujah comes under intense shelling ahead of an all out assault.

The invasion of the Islamic State stronghold is yet to take place as commanders hammer ISIS positions and facilities to soften them up.

But the invasion proper is yet to take place as commanders hammer ISIS positions and facilities to soften them up.

The fight is expected to be hard.

The city will have to be taken street-by-street, block-by-block.

Fallujah is being viewed as a dress rehearsal for far greater prize of Mosul, Iraq's second largest city and the biggest under ISIS control.
