Number of flights slightly down in Turkey
In January-August 2019, 1,038,587 flights were carried out in Turkey, which is 1 percent less compared to the same period of 2018, Trend reports referring to Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey.
During this period, there were 559,406 domestic flights and 479,181 international flights.
In January-August, the number of domestic flights decreased by 8.3 percent, while the number of international flights increased by 9.1 percent, according to the ministry.
During the reported period, a total of 368,437 flights were carried out at three main airports of Turkey - Sabiha Gokcen, Esenboga and Antalya airports.
