Russia carries out offensive & assault operations in Donetsk direction

Over the past day, main efforts of the Russian forces have been focused on maintaining the occupied frontiers in the Kharkiv direction. Russia tries to counterattack in order to restore the lost positions and conducts enhanced air reconnaissance with the use of UAVs, reported from the Facebook page of the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

"In the Slovyansk direction, Russian enemy fired on civilian infrastructure in the area of ​​the settlements of Dovgenke, Velyka Komyshuvakha and Dolyna. In the Donetsk direction, Russian enemy intensified offensive and assault operations to improve the tactical situation. It inflicted fire damage from mortars, artillery, multiple rocket launchers and operational and tactical aircraft in order to destroy the fortifications of our units along the entire line of contact.

In the Lyman direction, Russian enemy carries out periodic shelling of civilian infrastructure in the areas of the settlements of Dibrova and Zakitne.

In the Siverodonetsk direction, Russian enemy carried out assault operations in the direction of the settlement of Siverodonetsk, had no success, suffered losses and was forced to retreat. Conducts hostilities in the area of ​​Toshkivka,” reads the report.

"In the Bakhmut direction, with the support of artillery and mortars, Russian occupiers carried out offensive operations in the area of ​​the settlement of Vyskryva, while trying to improve the tactical position of their units near Volodymyrivka and Vasylivka. 

In the Kurakhiv direction, Russian enemy carried out massive artillery shelling of civilian infrastructure, including multiple rocket launchers. It led the offensive in the Novomykhailivka and Oleksandrivka districts, but was unsuccessful.

In the Novopavlovsk and Zaporizhzhia directions, Russian enemy hit infrastructure and peaceful households with rocket and artillery and mortar fire, and waged a counter-battery struggle. In the area of ​​the settlement of Novodarivka it suffered losses and retreated to its former positions,” reads the report.


The situation in the Bessarabian direction remained without significant changes.


"Russian enemy naval groups in the Black and Azov Seas continue to block civilian shipping. Fourteen enemy attacks were repulsed in the Donetsk and Luhansk directions over the past 24 hours, eight tanks, fourteen units of combat armored vehicles and six units of enemy vehicles were destroyed. Air defense units shot down one Orlan-10 UAV.”
