Ukrainian Defense Ministry: Russian army tried to attack Snake Island

The Russian Armed Forces tried to attack Snake Island, said Natalia Gumenyuk, the head of the press center of the Defense Forces of the Southern District of Ukraine, reported from UNIAN.

"Our flag is there, in its place. The Russian army tried to conduct reconnaissance from the air. However, they saw that our weapons were ready and moved away,” Gumenyuk said.

The Russian military left Snake Island on June 30. According to reports, until that day, the Russian army suffered many losses on the island.
