US military bases in Iraq and Syria were attacked with drones following a visit to Baghdad by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed al-Sudani,  reported from Shafaq News.

Iraqi Shiite groups attempted to attack the US bases, Ain al-Assad in western Iraq and Al-Tanf on the Syrian-Iraqi-Jordanian border.

"Two drones attacked the Ain al-Assad base in Anbar province at night and dawn. Both drones were shot down by military forces. Another drone was spotted in the vicinity of the Al-Tanf military base in Syria near the border with Iraq. It was also shot down,” the source of Shafaq News said.

Blinken arrived in Baghdad on November 5. During his visit, he demanded that the Iraqi side ensure the protection of American bases.
