Azerbaijan raises retirement age for women to 64 years and 6 months

Azerbaijan has increased the retirement age for women by six months to 64 years and 6 months, effective July 1.

The retirement age for women was last raised on July 1, 2024, when it reached 64 years. The current retirement age for men remains at 65.

According to Article 7 of the Law on Labor Pensions, the retirement age for men was gradually raised between July 1, 2017, and July 1, 2021. For women, the retirement age is being increased by six months annually from July 1, 2017, until July 1, 2027.
