Preliminary results of the investigation into the AZAL plane crash near Aktau may be released as early as next week, Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev said, reported from Kazakh media.

"The commission is working. Flight parameters and audio are being analyzed and certain conclusions will be made. Relatives need to verify the voices to confirm they are indeed the pilots, etc. I think next week the preliminary part will be published by the Ministry of Transport. That's because ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) recommends it within 30 days of the aviation incident. There are difficulties, but we should meet the deadline," said Bozumbayev.

The black boxes from the crashed aircraft have been fully decoded in Brazil and returned to Kazakhstan, noted the deputy prime minister.

AZAL passenger plane, operating the Baku-Grozny flight, crashed on December 25 near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Of the 67 people on board, 38 died and 29 survived. According to preliminary data, the plane crashed as a result of physical and technical external interference in Russian airspace
