Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan may visit Syria before the start of Ramadan, according to the Türkiye newspaper, reported from TASS.

He will be invited to visit the neighboring country by Syria's Acting Interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa during talks in Ankara on February 4.

The meeting between Erdogan and al-Sharaa is primarily planned to discuss Syria's reconstruction and counter-terrorism efforts. Following the negotiations and joint government meeting of the two countries, important agreements are expected to be signed in economics, transport, communications, agriculture, and military-technical cooperation.

Türkiye will become the second country after Saudi Arabia that al-Sharaa will visit as Syria's Acting Interim President.
