Turkey to fine airline passengers $70 for standing up early

Turkey will fine airline passengers who leave their seats before the aircraft has come to a complete stop after landing, the country’s civil aviation authority (SHGM) said on Thursday.
The fine will be about $70, according to Turkish media. The new regulation was introduced in early May following a surge in passenger complaints.
Authorities said the number of such incidents has increased significantly in recent months. Turkish Airlines has instructed cabin crew to pay closer attention to informing passengers about the new safety rules.
