U.S. military planes land in Yerevan for joint peacekeeping drills

Two U.S. Air Force transport aircraft landed in Yerevan carrying troops to take part in joint military exercises, Armenian media reported.
The “Eagle Partner 2025” drills will run from Aug. 12 to 20 in Armenia, involving the country’s peacekeeping brigade, U.S. forces in Europe and Africa, and the Kansas National Guard. The exercises will focus on preparing and carrying out peacekeeping missions, with an emphasis on medical evacuation procedures.
Armenia’s defence ministry said the drills aim to boost cooperation among units participating in international peacekeeping operations, exchange best practices in command and tactical communication, and improve the readiness of Armenia’s peacekeeping contingent.
