US rules out sending troops to Ukraine, treasury chief says

The United States will not deploy its troops in the conflict in Ukraine, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told Fox News.
Bessent said Russia had begun encroaching on NATO borders but stressed U.S. forces would not intervene militarily or in any other way in Ukraine. “I can say one thing: the United States is not going to get involved in any military action,” he said.
He added that Washington would continue to sell weapons to Ukraine, while their delivery and transfer would be carried out by European countries.
