Pashinyan says Armenia’s position on CSTO remains unchanged

Pashinyan says Armenia’s position on CSTO remains unchanged
08.01.2026 17:30

Armenia’s position on its participation in the Collective Security Treaty Organization remains unchanged, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said.

“I have nothing to add regarding the CSTO. Everything I have said before remains valid,” Pashinyan said.

He has previously stated that Armenia has effectively frozen its participation in the Collective Security Treaty Organization and does not take part in the work of its bodies. According to him, a return to active engagement within the organisation is becoming increasingly difficult, and the “point of no return” has essentially already been passed.
