Residential building collapses in Istanbul
A seven-story residential building partially collapsed in the Maltepe district of Istanbul. According to Turkish media, the incident occurred on Doğu Street in the Cevizli neighborhood, where the bottom three floors collapsed due to undetermined causes.
Firefighters, police, medical emergency teams, and specialists from Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) and National Medical Rescue Team (UMKE) were dispatched to the scene.
Responders evacuated residents trapped on the undamaged upper floors. Search and rescue operations remain underway beneath the rubble, with no confirmed casualty reports released so far.
