Russia shoots down its own warplane over Crimea – Ukraine

Russian air defenses shot down one of their own military aircraft over Crimea while trying to repel a Ukrainian drone attack, Ukrainian navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk said.

He added that another Russian oil depot caught fire following overnight strikes. Ukrainian drones targeted the peninsula overnight on Oct. 17, sparking a blaze at a fuel facility operated by Kedr LLC.
