Tens of millions of Gmail passwords leaked online
A massive data leak containing over 183 million email passwords, including tens of millions belonging to Gmail users, has been discovered, The New York Post reported citing cybersecurity experts.
The total volume of stolen data is estimated at 3.5 terabytes. The credentials were collected by malware that secretly extracted information from infected user devices over the past year.
Experts emphasized that the breach is not linked to a hack of Google’s servers but rather to malware infections on individual computers.
