Pakistan and Afghanistan agree to maintain ceasefire

Pakistan and Afghanistan have agreed to maintain the ceasefire, Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
According to the ministry, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey and Qatar held meetings in Istanbul from October 25 to 30, aimed at strengthening the ceasefire reached in Doha on October 18–19, 2025, under the mediation of Turkey and Qatar.
All sides agreed to continue the ceasefire and to finalize implementation parameters at a leadership-level meeting in Istanbul on November 6.
They also decided to establish a monitoring and verification mechanism to ensure compliance and impose sanctions on any party that violates the agreement.
The mediators — Turkey and Qatar — expressed appreciation for both sides’ constructive engagement and reaffirmed their readiness to continue cooperation to secure lasting peace and stability.
