Tokayev arrives in Washington ahead of C5+1 summit
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived in Washington for an official visit, NUR.KZ reported.
He was welcomed at the airport by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, who recently visited Kazakhstan. Tokayev is scheduled to meet U.S. President Donald Trump and take part in the “Central Asia–U.S.” (C5+1) summit on Thursday.
Earlier, Tokayev thanked Trump for the invitation and said the meeting would give a strong boost to trade, economic and investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States.
